Black Box warnings
I knew the moment that the doctor at the behavioral institute threatened me with neglect that the requirements he was demanding were unfair. I had done my homework regarding all kinds of medications and their side effects, but I was not prepared for what I would find when it came to some of the most dangerous medications on the market. What's more, regardless of the fact that these meds - specifically antidepressants - come with very strict BLACK BOX warnings as required by the FDA, doctors in most facilities around the country will prescribe them without notifying the parent or the child of the risks.
